Test Definition is a future program, and along with Custom Test Score, it will allow you to design your own way of displaying state testing scores, levels, labels, and more.

On the left navigation panel, select System, Entry and Test Definition.

Setup Box Options

To find definitions for standard setup values, follow this link: Standard Setup Options.

  1. Complete the setup box which defaults to your Country, State, and District based on your username.
  2. Click OK to move to the next screen.
  3. There will be four (4) sections to this screen.
    • Test List on the left--This includes the list of tests that have been set up for importing scores.
    • Definition Layout in the middle--This is the list of components that will be displayed in the Test Score Editor. These data elements will also be found in the Sample Layout at the bottom of the screen.
    • Test information on the right--This section is used to add Test Components to the middle section of the screen and also to the Sample Layout below.
    • Sample Layout at the bottom--This is a sample of the data elements that will be displayed in the Test Score Editor.

How to add a new test for scores import to the group of available tests. These instructions will include information for adding the information that will be displayed in the Test Score Editor as well as identifying the criteria that will be used to match student scores to student records in the JCampus Student Master database.

  1. Click the Add Test button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. A popup will appear with three fields that need to be completed:
    • Test Name---A unique name of the test whose scores will be imported into Test Score Editor.
    • Version--This gives you the ability to display different sets of information for a particular test.
    • Description--A simple description that identifies the test.
    • At this time the Import column will be blank.
  3. The new Test name will appear in the center section of the screen with a single component 'New Node Title'. This information will also appear in the right section of the window. This section will be edited to match a field in the score file to be imported.
  4. The right section will show the component detail that needs to be edited.
  5. Items to be edited include:
    • Label--data element name
    • Column Width--This determines the amount of space available for display of both the column header and the student data in each cell.
    • Char Length--
    • Style Color--Make your selection from the 12 available colors.
    • Format--Options include String, Select Item, Boolean, Integer, Float, Date. Refer to the next section of instructions for a description of each format type.
