This report will give the count of out of zone students that are enrolled at a school that are not zoned for the school. Note that the Out Of Zone List and Out of Zone Count will not match exactly because the Out of Zone Count gives the information regarding the students who are currently approved to go to school out of zone and the Out of Zone List gives the information for requests for out of zone approved or not.

Menu Location

Student > Count > Out of Zone Count

Setup Options

Year - Defaults to the current year. A prior year may be accessed by clicking in the field and making the appropriate selection from the drop down list.

District - Default value is based on the user’s security settings. The user will be limited to their district only.

School - Default value is based on the user's security settings. If the user is assigned to a school, the school default value will be their school site code.

Grade - Leave blank or select all to include all grade levels. Otherwise, choose the desired grade level.

Gender - Leave blank or select all to include all genders. Otherwise, choose the desired gender.

Custom Codes - Select the Custom Codes created in the Custom Code Management to filter the student list.

Ethnic - Leave blank or select all to include all ethnicities. Otherwise, choose the desired ethnicity.

OOZ Code - Leave the field blank if all OOZ codes are to be included. Otherwise, click in the field to the right of OOZ to select the desired code to be included. Click

Start Date - Start date defaults to the beginning of school date. This may be changed by clicking on the drop down arrows to make changes or click on the calendar and select the date.

End Date - End date defaults to the end of school date. This may be changed by clicking on the drop down arrows to make changes or click on the calendar and select the date.

Active Only - The setup defaults to Active Only. Remove the check in the box to select all students.

As-of-date - Limits the list to those students who are active as of the date selected.

OK - Click to continue

Column Headers

These columns are found when you click on the "To School and From School" tabs.

School - Name of the school in which the student is enrolled

Site - Site code of the school in which the student is enrolled

Other - Other out of zone counts

Total - Total number of out of zone counts

A01 - D16 - By clicking in the OOZ cell, a list populates defining each column header.

000 - K12 - Number of students transferred from these district school site numbers.
