This program will generate an attendance summary that will display student's absence days, full or half, within a date range based on absence codes.

Menu Location

Stattendmenu.png

On the left navigation panel, select Attendance > Lists > Student Attendance Summary by Code.

Setup Options

Studattendsummarysetup.png

Year - Defaults to the current year. A prior year may be accessed by clicking in the field and making the appropriate selection from the drop down list.

District - Default value is based on the user’s security settings. The user will be limited to their district only.

School - Default value is based on the user’s security settings. If the user is assigned to a school, the school default value will be their school site code.

Grade - Leave blank or select all to include all grade levels. Otherwise, choose the desired grade level.

Gender - Leave blank or select alla to include all genders. Otherwise, choose a desired gender.

Ethnic - Leave blank or select all to include all ethnicities. Otherwise, choose a desired ethnicity.

Sped:

All - Select to view all students.

Sped Only - Select to view only Sped students.

Non Sped - Select to view only non Sped students.

504:

All - Select to view all students.

504 Only - Select to view only 504 students.

Non 504 - Select to view only non 504 students.

LEP:

All - Select to view all students.

LEP Only - Select to view only LEP students.

Non LEP - Select to view only non LEP students.

Include Students with No Absences - List all students with and without absences.

Show Remote Only - If this box is checked, the report will list only those students who come to your school from another school in the district.

If your school does NOT offer any remote classes, this feature does not apply.

If your school does offer remote classes, by checking this box the list of students will be those from other schools in your district that attend classes on your campus. Students from your school will not be on the list if this box is checked.

Active Only and As of Date - This choice will list only those students who are actively enrolled as of the date selected in the date field.

From Date and To Date - A set of dates that limits the selection of records for the report to a beginning date (from) and an ending date (to) range.

Absence Codes - Absence Codes must have been entered into the Student Master record for students. Leave blank if all absence codes are to be included into the report. Otherwise click in the field to the right of Absence Codes to select the desired absence code(s) to view.

Special Codes - Leave blank if all special codes are to be included into the report. Otherwise, choose the desired special code.

Column - Leave blank to include all columns. Click to obtain a pick list of columns that can be selected to view on the report.

Report - The user can click in this box to select a report that was previously created.

OK - Click to continue.

Name - Student's name

Homeroom - Student's homeroom teacher's name

F - Count of Full days absent

H - Count of Half days absent

O - Count of times absent that does not meet the definition of either full or half day

U - Count of unexcused absences

S - Count of days absent because of disciplinary suspension

E - Count of excused absences

ND - Count of days absent due to extenuating (N) circumstances and doctor excuses (D)

OP - Count of days using other (O) reasons or present (P).

SIDNO - Student's identification number

Grade - Student's grade of enrollment

School - School site number of enrollment

Ethnic - Student's ethnicity

Print - This will allow the user to print the report.

Communicate - Click to email or call all students on the list. NOTE: You can highlight some of the students on the list, and a communication will go to the highlighted students.

Report - The user can click in this box to select a report that was previously created.
