RTI Create a RTI Referral on a Student

- In the SBLC/RTI Editor, click the Find button to locate the student for which a new referral needs to be entered.
- Click the Referral tab.
- Click the New Referral button just above the Demographics tab.
- Select RTI Referral on the Type of New Referral popup and click Ok
- Enter information into the critical data (red) fields.
- Referral Date
- Referred by (position)
- Referred by (name)
- RTI Referral Reason: Select the reason by clicking in the field and selecting your choice.
- Parent Contact Date and Contact Method
- Next Meeting Date
- RTI Decision and Decision Date
- Complete the two sections on the right side of the screen.
- RTI Description of Concern and Recommendations: Place any concerns or recommendations in this area.
- Team Assigned and Completion Date are for SBLC.
- Complete the Programs/Interventions/Services already provided section.
- Click Save.
- A pop up box will ask you, "Do you want to send a email notification to the meeting participants?" so answer accordingly. This should only prompt the user on new meetings, not updates to previously entered meetings.
Entering Interventions for RTI Referrals

- After creating a new referral, click the Intervention tab.
- Click the New button at the bottom of the screen.
- The Ref Date will be the date entered on the Referral tab. It can only be edited from the Referral tab.
- Select the Tier.
- Selection of the Tier will determine the value(s) available for Category and Intervention.
- Select Other Type if applicable.
- Select Instructor.
- Select the Start Date and End Date.
- Click in the Days field and select the day(s) of the week.
- Click in the Mins field and enter the number of minutes per day selected in the Days field.
- Click Save.
NOTE - The following pieces of information should be entered at the end of the Intervention date range:
- Select the Results from the results list.
- Enter the Decision Date for the results.
