Create New Assessment

Use the following steps to create a new assessment within the Assessment Manager.


1. Click the “New” button in the top left corner.


2. Update Assessment Name and any other applicable information in the Assessment options pop up.

  • Assessment name should be unique for identification purposes.
  • Do not check “Ready” until the assessment has been completed and is ready to be distributed.
  • Click save in the top left corner after making selections.
  • Adjustments can be made to the Assessment Options by clicking the top line of the assessment if updates are needed during.


3. To add new question click “Question Bank”.

  • Questions that are already in the Question Bank can be added to the assessment by clicking and dragging the question from the Question Back area to the layout area.
    • To view or edit the existing question, double click the question in the question bank.
    • To use an existing question to create a new version, click the copy icon at the bottom left.
  • New questions can be added by clicking “New Question” in the top of the Question Bank.
    • Enter a unique question name and choose the question type.
    • The question is entered in the top section (typed or picture).
    • The answer is entered in the bottom section, the layout of the answer is determined by the question type chosen.
    • Select the eye icon to preview the question.
    • Once question and answer are completed click the save icon in the top right
  • Standards can be added to each question if needed
  • NOTE: Questions cannot be deleted after being saved.


4. New Sections are added by clicking "New Section" in the top right.

  • Section Title can be updated but is not required.
  • Default points can be updated so each question is worth that amount of points but points can be adjusted per question.
  • If a calculator or text to speech is needed for the section, it can be selected in the question defaults.


5. After sections and questions are entered the questions can be edited as needed by clicking the question in the layout screen.

  • Question Options allows adjusts in assigned points, allowing partial answers and other areas.
  • Standards and attachments can be added here as well.


6. Once assessment has been completed.

  • Share will allow other staff to see and edit the assessment.
  • Distribute will be used to allow the teachers to see and use for assignments.
  • Publish will used by the teachers when they are attaching the assessment to an assignment.


7. Preview tab will allow the creator to view what the student will see when completing the assessment.


8. Graphs tab will show staff graphs of the results after assessments have been completed.
