These instructions will provide documentation for entering vocational clusters and concentrations for students following a vocational tract diploma. The selected Clusters and Concentrations will be used to audit student transcript records for progress toward successful completion prior to graduation. Up to four Clusters may be selected along with the related Concentration, Program Type and Local/Industrial indicators.

  1. Log in to WebPams.
  2. Click on Student Master under Entry.
  3. Verify information on the Student Master setup box.
    Select the desired Year.
District and School will be defaulted based on security.
  4. Click OK
  5. Use the Find button to find a student.
  6. There will be a set of tabs at the bottom of the Student Master screen. The first tab will be Demographics and will be lighter than the other tabs indicating that the tab is the active tab.
  7. Click on the Vocational tab.
  8. The new screen will show a series of check boxes at the top along with a group of four areas at the bottom of the screen: Clusters, Concentrations, Program Type, and Local/Industrial.
  9. Select the Cluster.
Clusters will include a list of 16 vocational areas that have been developed by the state department of education. Districts will chose which one(s) of these 16 areas students in their schools will be able to successfully complete based on the curricula available in the district. Counselors at the individual schools will know which one(s) of the clusters are to be used for their students.
  10. Select the Concentration.
Concentrations are related to the selected cluster for a student. These are numbered so that the number indicates the related cluster. For example, Cluster 01 will have concentrations numbered 0101, 0102, 0103, etc.; Cluster 02 will have concentrations numbered 0201, 0202, 0203, etc.
  11. Select the Program Type.
Program Type will be either Apprentice, Career Academy, or Career Major.
  12. Select the Local/Industrial type.
Local/Industrial includes 5 different program types: Local Certification, Industry Certification, Work Based, School Based, and Concurrent Enrollment.
  13. Click the save button at the bottom of the window after making the selections in these four areas.
