Obtain Feeder Students

This program allows school sites to obtain students from feeder school sites for the upcoming school year.

  • Some districts allow schools to do this procedure, while in others it is a function reserved for the District Coordinator. If unsure, contact your District Coordinator.
  • If the Student Master Next School field was used to direct feeder students to upcoming year sites, this program is not normally used. Consult with your District Coordinator if unsure.

Getting Started

  1. Open WebPams, select Scheduling from the left side of the screen
  2. Under Entry, select Obtain Feeder Students.

Setup Box Options

  1. Click in the field to choose Export Students from Year (ex. 1314).
  2. Click in the field to choose Export Students to Year (ex. 1415).
  3. Sending School should be defaulted based on your security.
  4. Click in the field to choose Receiving School.
  5. Click in the field to choose Student Grades to Process.
    • If grade -1 is selected, a codes list for preK students to be rolled up will appear on the screen.
    • Uncheck any code for which a preK student will not promote to Kindergarten, such as "SE2".
    • Click OK.
  6. Click in the SBLC Codes to Process field to select the SBLC codes for student transfer selection.
    • Any student with NO SBLC code, or with a selected SBLC code, will be transferred to the destination school.
  7. Review check box options and check or uncheck as needed:
    • Upgrade Grade of Students Who Passed will move the students to the next grade level (Normally selected).
    • Replace Matching Student Grades will copy over the student's records if it already exists in the new school year.
    • Clear out Bus Numbers will blank out student's bus numbers in the upcoming year.
    • Match on Next School Only will limit the pick list of students to only those with a matching Student Master Next School site.
  8. If executing this program for the second or third time on the same feeder school site, click Undo to remove the Feeder Students from the upcoming year.
    • Undo - Grade Level Setting: When performing an UNDO on this program, the feeder students' grade level setting will be the grade level of the next year.
    • Example: For Students Grades To Process, pick "7" to UNDO next year's 7th graders.
    • This will remove students who have recently dropped, and add students who have recently entered the feeder school.
  9. Click Proceed.
