How-to

This document will provide step-by-step instructions for loading locker numbers for students.

  1. Select Loaders under the Student Master program area on the left of the screen.
  2. Select Locker Loader.
  3. If you need instructions for setup values to be used, follow the link for Standard Setup Options.
  4. Click Ok to move to the next screen.
  5. The students will be listed on the left side of the screen with available locker labels listed on the right.


Definitions of column headers

Sidno--Student ID number
Student Name--Name of students
Grade--Grade level of students
Homeroom Teacher--Homeroom teacher assigned to the student
Locker Number--Label found on the locker units
Combination--lock combination; you must click the save manual entry for this value to be written to the student master
Lock Number--if locks are not built in, this is the number of the assigned lock; you must click the save manual entry for this value to be written to the student master
Save Manual Entry--click this field to save any manually entered value


Assign students a locker number using the list at the right of the screen to make a selection.

  1. Click in the first column labeled Locker Number to the right of the Homeroom Teacher field beside the name of the student.
  2. An asterisk (*) will appear in the field. You can also use the Select All box at the top of the column.
  3. Select locker number value on the right side of the screen.
  4. A message will appear indicating that rows have been updated.
  5. Click Ok.
  6. The combination of the lock and/or the lock number must be manually entered at this time or at a later date. Triple click the appropriate cell and use the keyboard to enter the value.
  7. Click the Save Manual Entry cell for the information to be written to the student master. You must click the save manual entry cell for the set of values that are entered.


Assign students a locker number by entering information manually.

  1. Double click the locker number field beside the student's name. You can also use the Select All box at the top of the column.
  2. Enter the locker number.
  3. The combination of the lock can be manually entered at this time or at a later date. Double click the appropriate cell and use the keyboard to enter the value.
  4. NOTE--you may need to use the horizontal scroll bar to display the lock number cell and the save cell.
  5. The lock number must be entered manually. Double click the appropriate cell and use the keyboard to enter the value.
  6. Click the Save Manual Entry cell for the information to be written to the student master. You must click the save manual entry cell for the set of values that are entered.
