How to create student schedules using the Self-Contained method

Use the following steps to schedule students using the Self-Contained method.

  1. Select Scheduling from the list of program areas on the left of the screen.
  2. Select Loaders.
  3. Select Self-Contained Scheduling.

Setup Box Options

To find definitions for standard setup values, follow this link: Standard Setup Options.

For other set up values not listed in the standard set up list:

  1. Select OK to move to the next screen.
  2. The screen will be divided into two sections.
  1. Student list on the left side.
  2. Teacher list on the right side. A teacher will have multiple records on the right if he/she teaches courses in multiple grade levels.

To schedule students using this method use the following steps.

  1. On the left side of the screen, click the Teacher Field beside the names of all students that are to be scheduled to the same teacher's classes. An 'X' will appear in the field.
  2. On the right side of the screen, click the Teacher's Name and the student schedules will be created.
  3. NOTE: This process does NOT assign the teacher as the students' homeroom teacher.
