SPED Connect is a extra product in JCampus that allows the user to bypass SER. The user can enter the data in JCampus and SER is updated automatically. There are also many convenience features such as mass jurisdiction updates.

UPDATE 2023:

  • JCampus imports Sped data daily from LDOE and eSER. It is the districts that enters data into eSER and then JCampus gets a file each morning for the districts and import at 9AM.
  • EDLink gets the Special Education data directly from eSER. There is no special ed data that is transmitted in the EDLink files that the district submits.
  • The Special Ed accommodations data has never been part of the nightly files and still isn`t. The user can see the Evals, IEPs and Services in JCampus. The student info bar will show the student Special Ed status.
For accommodations, the user has to manually run a report in eSER and then manually import into JCampus> Accommodations Import.

Notes:

  • When a SPED student graduates as an 04 at 18 but re-enrolls since they can stay in the education system until they are 21, the re-enroll code should be E1.
