According to the the instructions from the state,

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Students attended school at least 1 day in May 2022.
  • Students whose school they attended in May, participated in the Community Eligibility Provision program in SY 21-22 or qualified for free/reduced price meals at under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP). This includes:
  • School children who received P-EBT benefits during May 2021 including students who graduated.
  • School children who were eligible for free or reduced price school meals under the NSLP or SBP in SY 21-22 or attended a CEP school in May but did not receive P-EBT benefits in May because they were attending school in-person and benefited from a free or reduced price meal service at school.
  • Children who are determined newly eligible for NSLP or SBP during the covered summer period but prior to the end of the covered summer period. This includes students who submitted a free/reduced price lunch application by COB Friday July 29, 2022.
