THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

This report is used to create a list of students with a count of Tardies (Attendance code 14) for a given date range.


NOTE--In order to print Tardy Analysis letters to the parents, you must first verify that the letter(s) exist(s) using the Letter Maintenance program. Use the link below to review the creation/editing of Letters before you run the Tardy Analysis.

Letter Maintenance

If you use this link for instructions on how to create the letter, use the back arrow in the upper left of the window to return to this page. Tip--You may create a letter based on grade level groups (1-3, 4-8, and 9-12) if your policy makes such a distinction. Name them with the grade level as part of the name for ease of identification in the next steps. Or, you may create one letter to be used school wide.

How-to

  1. Log in to WebPams.
  2. Select Attendance on the left side of the screen.
  3. Select Count.
  4. Select Tardy Analysis.
  5. Click Ok and press enter.
  6. The Setup Box will appear.


Setup Box Options

  1. Set the Year, District, and School fields as desired.
  2. Grade: Set for student grade levels.
  3. From Date and To Date: Set to the desired date range.
  4. Skip Excused Tardies: Attendance code 14 Tardy can be marked as "excused" or "unexcused".
    • If checked, "excused" Tardy records will not be counted in the report.
    • If not checked, "excused" and "unexcused" records will be counted in the report.
  5. Include Unexcused Late to School: Attendance code 19 Late to School/Early Departure is used when a student comes in late to school.
    • If checked, the Late to School code 19 records will be counted in the report.
    • If unchecked, the Late to School code 19 records will not be counted in the report.
  6. Show Students Who Have a Tardy Record for the To Date: Select to limit the report to only students who have a Tardy record on the To Date.
    • This is a helpful option if this report is run daily. By selecting this option, the report is limited to showing counts only for students who have a Tardy on the To Date.
  7. Select the Tardy Counts that you want to show on the report. These counts would be based on the district/school tardy policy.
  8. Select Tardies >=--This value would also be determined by the district/school tardy policy.
  9. If you are printing letters then you must click the Letters button.
  10. A Letter Options setup box will appear.
  11. Select the letter(s) according to the policy for each grade range in the setup box.
    • 1-3 Letter
    • 4-8 Letter
    • 9-12 Letter
    • If you may created a letter based on grade level groups (1-3, 4-8, and 9-12) select them accordingly. Or, select the same letter for all three groups.
  12. Click Ok to return to the program setup box.
  13. Click Ok to move to the next screen.

Print

  1. To print this report click the print button at the bottom of the screen. A popup will appear with a set of document print options--PDF, XLS, CSV, HTML. Click the print button on this popup and a print preview window will appear.
  2. To get the print icon on this window, hover the mouse in the bottom right area of the preview. A grey rectangle will appear with several icons. Click the print icon at the right end of this rectangle. Another print preview will appear; click the print button at the top left to print the report. Close the print preview.
