The Alert Code field is found on the Student Master at the bottom left of the screen. There are a variety of alert codes available such as notification of allergies, restriction on who may pick up the student, as well as several other codes. If an alert code has been entered, the background of the field will be red. Use the following steps to load alert codes quickly.


  1. Login to WebPams.
  2. Select Loaders under the Student Master program area on the left of the screen.
  3. Select Alert Code Loader.


Setup Box Option

  1. Verify Year, District, and School. These default values are based on your security settings.
  2. Select Grade. Leave the Grade field blank if all grade levels are to be included. Otherwise click in the box to the right of “Grade” to select the desired grade level(s) to be included.
  3. Alert Codes Use this field to display all students or restrict the list to a specific code or codes.
    To list ALL students leave the field blank.
    Select a specific code or codes to restrict the list to only a select group of students.
  4. Select the As-of-Date. This represents active students as of the date you choose. It usually defaults to the current date.
  5. Click Ok to move to the next screen.
  6. The students will be listed on the left side of the screen with their alert code(s). The Alert Codes will be listed on the right side of the screen.


To enter new Alert Codes

  1. All students need to be displayed. These can be limited to a specific grade or a range of grades.
  2. To display all students the setup box should have the Alert Code field blank or all codes should be listed.
  3. Click in any of the blank code fields beside the names of students that need the same code.
  4. An X will appear in the field.
  5. After selecting the students that need the same code, click the code from the right side of the screen.
  6. A message will appear indicating that rows have been updated.
  7. Click Ok.


To delete an existing code

  1. If you know the existing code, that code can be entered in the Alert Code field on the setup box. This will display on those students with that specific code. Or, you may display all students by leaving the code field blank on the setup box.
  2. Scroll through the list of students to find the student(s) whose code(s) needs to be removed.
  3. Click the code that needs to be changed and the code is replaced by an X.
  4. Select the blank line at the top of the code list on the right side of the screen.
  5. The codes will be removed and a message will appear indicating that rows have been updated.
  6. Click Ok.
