This program allows an authorized user to control who gets email notifications and when.
Select System on the panel on the left side of the screen.
Under Entry, select Communication Configuration.
Set Up Box
If you need instructions for setup values to be used, follow the link for Standard Setup Options.
Click on the tab at the bottom of the screen labeled ANS.
- Note: ANS will only be visible if it has been activated for your district.
- At the top of the screen, two tabs will appear. On Demand and As It Happens.
On Demand
- Click the Add button at the bottom of the screen to create a new notification.
- The notification editor window will appear in a red box at the top of the screen.
- In the drop down menu labeled Program Name, a list of notifications and brief descriptions will be listed in the drop down menu. Select the notification to create.
- Select the Time (00 - 23) of day, in military time, to generate the notification.
- Note: If the time 09 is selected, the notification will be sent between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
- Check to Enable the notification.
- Check to send the notifications on Instructional Days Only.
- Day of Week - If left blank, this report will run every day.
- If you would like to specify the date in which a notification is sent out, click in the Specific Date field.
- To select who gets the notification base on object and function code, click in the Job Code field to get a Job Code Editor.
- In the Job Code Editor, select one object code and then all the function codes that are paired with it that need to receive the notification.
- Click Add.
- Repeat steps until all desired object and function combinations have been selected.
- To remove previously selected function codes to begin selecting new ones, click the select all check box to select all check boxes and then click the select all check box again to deselect.
- To remove the object and function codes select for the notification, click the Clear button and then click the OK button
- To select individual employees to receive notification, click in the Include field and then select all employees who need to receive the notification.
- To deselect employees, uncheck the employee and then click Ok.
To Print this Report
Click the Print button at the bottom of the screen.
A popup will appear with a set of document print options--PDF, XLS, CSV, HTML.
The default print option will be PDF.
Click the print button on this popup and a print preview window will appear.
To get the print icon on this window, hover the mouse in the bottom right area of the preview. A grey rectangle will appear with several icons.
Click the print icon at the right end of this rectangle. Another print preview will appear.
Click the print button at the top left to print the report. Close the print preview.
